My 2016 Goals

Well, it’s evident from my lack of posting that I have some goals to set in the new year. 🙂 This web site is one of my top priorities for 2016. I just need to get over the hump of “putting myself out there” for all the internet to see. NBD, right? I hope by sharing a few of my goals for the year that you can help hold me accountable and also be inspired to reflect on your own resolutions and 2016 goals. These definitely aren’t  all “SMART” goals, but something is better than nothing!

-Set aside intentional prayer time each day

-Join a MOPS (moms of preschoolers) group and/or another ministry effort
-Step outside my comfort zone in sharing my faith with others

-Focus on uninterrupted playtime with my daughter (aka no technology)

CAREER:Keyboard

-Read 10 professional development books throughout the year and contact authors for interview requests
-Write two blog posts per week no matter the topic
-Start making serious plans for my first podcast

PERSONAL:

  • -Plan at least one to two play dates each week with friends and their kids.
  • -Host at least one couple or family each month for dinner
  • -Go to bed by 10:30 PM each night
  • -Get in a solid workout 3-4 days per week with a focus on strength training and stretching
  • -Drink more water, eat less sugar, eat more protein/produce

Whew – I’ve got my work cut out for me. Encouragement and tips are welcome. 🙂 I think I may do a mid-year check-in back here once I’ve been chipping away at the list for a few months. Do you have any specific goals or dreams for 2016?
