Friday Favorites

Happy Friday after a short week! Can they all be four days long? That would rock. Once again, the internet delivered some goodies this week so I’m sharing my favorites. Please share yours in the comments!

Also something of note, I created a Facebook page for this web site separate from my personal page. I would be so grateful if you’d give it a “like.” Besides being notified of when new blog posts are up, I’ll use it to share other fun and useful information + inspiration.

5 things parents REALLY need. So true.

Uninvited Wk 1 Graphic

The soon-to-be release of Lysa TerKeurst’s book Uninvited. As you probably know by now, I’m a big fan of Proverbs 31, and Lysa is the founder of the organization. I signed up to be part of the launch team for this book, so there will probably be some more blog posts or mentions in the weekly faves popping up over the next month before it’s published in early August. Her most recent email promoting her book is good one. Does everyone feel this way or is it just me? There’s a lady at the gym who hates me.

The Simplified Planner Fresh Start Challenge. Emily Ley, creator of the Simplified Planner, is is using a task-a-day challenge to help Instagram followers purge, organize, and simplify their homes by August 1 before back-to-school time sneaks up. I love the idea of tackling the projects one step at a time.

How I stopped keeping score in my marriage. Really good advice.

Dear Pioneer Woman. ROFL. I’m a fellow PW fan, and I think we all wonder how she “does it all.”

To the mom who isn’t sure about her motherhood journey. A great read for all those times when you wonder if it’s worth it.

Unsubscribing from junk email. I’ve made a valiant effort to go through my junk email section each day and unsubscribe from the places I no longer wish to receive emails. I could ignore the junk mail but I’d rather just declutter my inbox. I’ve made several (probably unnecessary) purchases due to the influence of those retail sale emails. When the time comes that I really need to buy a specific item or article of clothing, I can just go search for a promo code online instead of spending money on something I don’t really need just because an email told me it’s on sale.

On Saying Goodbye. Get the tissue box for this one.

A dog shows off his skateboarding skills at a Giants game. Amazing!

Guilt to Grace e-book cover

Becky Thompson’s (Founder of Scissortail Silk and author of Hope Unfolding) released a new e-book called Guilt to Grace. I haven’t started this yet, but it’s on my reading list!

College students gift 9-year-old with Frozen-inspired prosthetic hand. There is something magical about Frozen. Having watched it 7038 times I can attest to that. This is such a touching story.

Have a wonderful weekend!
